The storks have been busy and as you can see below the first of this years Iberian lynx cubs have arrived already.

You can see new mum Aliaga tending to her precious new born cubs on this link, these amazing scenes are live video images that are brought live from cameras inside the captive breeding centre of El Acebuche in Donana National Park, Spain.
This should be the first of many such happy scenes, with 21 lynx currently pregnant across the five breeding centres of Spain and Portugal. Many more tiny balls of hope destined for a life in the wild are due in the next couple of months.
Jabaluna, is likely to be the first to give birth in Portugal this year, she is currently very pregnant at the Silves breeding centre, and is due to give birth this Thursday. She is one of six females in Portugal that are expecting cubs including one which is pregnant using the innovative AI technique.
Boa sorte to Jabaluna, Artemisa, Flora, Juncia, Kaida and Fruta as well all the expectant female lynx in Spain.
