Nossa was the name given to the first Iberian cub free born in the country for many years.

This wonderful visual confirmation of the success and the genuine return of this most elusive and endangered cat was claimed with the simple evocative name ‘Nossa’ which means ‘Ours’ in Portuguese.
And now Nossa has cubs of her own

And it has been yet another good year for the Iberian lynx in Portugal, with 18 breeding females, there were another SIXTY lynx cubs born in 2020. They continue to thrive and expand back through their historic breeding range.
Sightings are increasing too.
